I’m watching Secret Invasion episode one again as I slept through most of it. I’m giving the benefit of the doubt that I was tired but it seemed bad 🤷‍♂️

Just removed links to Twitter and replaced them with my Bluesky account. Glad micro.blog has cross posting to Bluesky. superdavey.omg.lol

The only photos I have of myself during our travels is selfies in front of waterfalls.

    I’m in the NT

When you go to drive out of your campsite and notice a bolt missing from your camper suspension 😳

Just came to say I punctured 2 tyres today on The Gibb. The road didn’t seem that bad. At least one was on the truck and the other on the camper.

Cape Leveque showing off tides and beauty. This the same place hours apart.

Haven’t posted anything in 8 days. Basically had no network. Found wifi at a super remote camp ground called Mount Hart. We are day 1 on The Gibb and Tunnel Creek was amazing. Then we crossed 22 creek/rivers to get into camp. The last 8 days have been amazing.

Found a remote beach north of Broome (Quandong) and we had a crack at fishing. I caught a Parrot Fish and then we snagged twice on the rocks and I couldn’t be bothered rigging the lines again. Great day 4wd’ing though.

I don’t think I can update my watch whilst travelling as I have no wifi. Is that right?

To install the update, make sure Apple Watch is:&10;• On its charger&10;• In range of your iPhone connected to Wi-Fi

My first attempt at rigging my own fishing line and tying knots to join the braided line to a leader (all new things to me) resulted in me loosing my lure first cast. My second go with a hook and sinker was more successful but I had no bait.

A great photo of my truck on Cable Beach.

A truck/ute on the beach with the sub setting beging.

8 hours of driving today and we made it to Eighty Mile Beach. The sunset made it very much worthwhile.

    Sunset at Eighty Mile Beach.

Decided to get a Telstra eSim just as a backup. I have been happy being offline while travelling but if we have car issues again I’d like mobile coverage.

Super happy that my car is back with us. Looks like someone did something bad at some point but difficult to point blame. We are happy to back on the road and leaving for our next destination.

Feeding the birds at the campsite.

Our first mechanical issue. Looks like the inter cooler is cracked - which is apparently a Ranger thing to do. Now to try to get a new one fitted ASAP. At least we were close to a town that had a mechanic open on Sunday and he was able to diagnose. We will keep driving but will need to take it easy.

The latest episode from our Big Trip travels - Warroora Station

Day 2 at Karijini and hiked the amazing Knox Gorge in the morning and then swam at Joffrey’s Gorge after some lunch. Knox was such a highlight and will be hard to beat.

First Day in Karijini National Park and we explored Dales Gorge. We swam in Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool to keep cool. Also we had dingo sightings and waking up to them howling is an experience to remember.

Bullara Station was a very enjoyable stay. We walked trails, 4wd to the Gulf, cooked steak from the Station on the fire pit and generally relaxed.
